K-West 2015 Verses of The Day

Every summer we challenge our Kampers to memorize daily verses. They get to work on them each class period. We decided to do something a little different this year. We are working together to memorize an entire passage of Scripture instead of random verses scattered throughout different books of the Bible.

This summer’s theme is “Game Changer,” and the verse to go with it is Matthew 28:19. We decided to expand upon that passage and dig into the full passage. “But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful. And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’” Matthew 28:16-20

We’ve divided the passage up into pieces and build onto it each day. By the end of the term, the entire Kamp has an entire chunk of scripture memorized! How cool is that?!

It’s been neat for staff to come alongside Kampers and memorize this together. We are proud of the faithfulness of each Kamper to memorize scripture. Our prayer is that they would take the truth from Matthew 28:16-20 and apply it to their lives in bold ways. We are learning how to be game changers this summer at K-West. We believe being a disciple and then making disciples is the ultimate investment. We ask for your help back home to encourage Kampers to continue to do the same after they leave our gates.

We are thankful for our K-West Kampers and the opportunity to love and pour into them. Thank you for letting us come alongside you in the journey with your middle schoolers.
