As the weather begins to cool and fall draws closer, our Kampers and staff are headed back to schools all over the country and beyond!
"I’m Third." What does it mean to live the I’m “Third" lifestyle?
This summer’s theme is “I’m Third.” Matthew 22:37-39 says,
“And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
We see that the greatest commandment is to love God with all of our heart, soul and mind. We see that the second commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself. That is why we live I’m Third. Jesus sets the perfect example to love sacrificially, and because of this, we aim to joyfully obey His command that is to put God first, others second, and ourselves third.
This summer, it is our goal to equip Kampers to live the I’m Third lifestyle, not only at Kamp, but also in their homes, and communities.
Here at Kamp, we love seeing Kampers serve their cabin mates. Whether it is by scraping plates at meal time or by sweeping the cabin during "Honor Condo”, our Kampers serve each other out of love and joy as they practice putting God first, others second and themselves third.
What does living out the I’m Third lifestyle mean to you?
