To continue our February of Faith series, Joe White shares wisdom he gained from a difficult time in his life. He uses a powerful visual to illustrate the freedom that comes with giving our worries to Jesus.

If you’ve conquered a high ropes course at Kamp, you know the feeling of securing your harness and attaching yourself to the rope, ready to summit. The harness is snug around you and there are two carabiners in place as a reminder that you are securely fastened and ready to fly!

What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail? Perhaps you would try out for a school talent show or sports team. Maybe you’d write a book, begin a small business, or apply for your dream job.

Throughout the impressionable school-age years, there are a few key areas in which we can demonstrate good, Godly character to our children.

Reflecting on the past is an important part of preparing for the future. With 2019 rolling and school back in session, it’s important to take a moment to focus on what we learned in our most recent season, whether it was full of joy or maybe more difficult.

With that in mind, let’s take a look back at the verses we shared throughout December, viewing these through a fresh lens and how they can encourage us while entering into the new year.

Happy New Year, Kanakuk Family! Welcome to 2019—can you believe it’s already here?

How often do we let fear control our lives? Fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of the unknown? As humans, it’s practically impossible to live and never experience some form of fear, especially when the world throws new challenges our way every single day.

Each day in life is a blank slate, waiting for us to write new moments and watch our life stories unfold. And even though the newness of each day is fresh and sweet, it also brings uncertainty. No matter how much we plan and prepare, things can change in an instant, redirecting our paths in ways we couldn’t have imagined.

Every month, we are honored to share inspriation from scripture with our Kanakuk family on social media! The verses below were the ones on our hearts during the month of October. We hope you will download these to share with friends, pass along to family or save as your cell phone background.

Pray. Proclaim. Practice.

From the moment we’re born, our entire life is measured by growth. As newborns, we’re weighed to the ounce and measured to the quarter of an inch. As we get older, we attend check-up after check-up to ensure that we are growing at a healthy rate. In our homes, we often have a wall dedicated to a series of tally marks documenting height as we grow throughout childhood.
